Day 31

Yup, that's been our day! David and I voted, Freyja melted down before school, Jax is wired and won't go to sleep yet, and Wendy, DJ and I survives Zumba!
One month down...11more to go!

Day 30

37 when I dropped her off at school this morning and shorts weather when I picked her up...gotta love Florida! I am currently in bed with a baby sawing logs across my chest, poor kid can't breath so I have become his elevated pillow. Tomorrow I die or will come close to it...Wendy, DJ and I are going to start taking a Zumba class on Tuesday nights. Stay tuned and see if there's a day 31!

Day 29

Dinner with friends! Saw Adam, Heather and Sarina today for impromptu playdate that ended in dinner at Los Rancheros. It's been since right before Christmas that the girls last saw each other. They had a wonderful time playing together. Each time it gets better, we still have the occasional tear or fuss but over all they are getting much better at playing together. Jax even joined them in the den at one point which was nice for me! Kid has been glued to me like a leech since I quit rush...I'm about ready for a home mastectomy, stuff'em and just let him have my breasts permanently in his possession! Both kids are asleep before 10pm tonight so I'm gonna crash now and see if I can't catch up on some of the sleep Jax stole from me last night (he slept from 1am-6am and that's it yesterday). Hey Mr Sandman, long time no sleep :-)

Day 28

Nothing cuter than lil man snugging next to his daddy, sharing popcorn and water. It's been a quiet day Jax slept most of the afternoon, Freyja played outside and then played a new computer game we found online. Last night she and I read a beginner reason book and she helped me with all the small words, the hardest one being apple. Tonight we played some math games before bed and she's getting much better at simple addition and subtraction. It's amazing watching her learn and apply her knowledge to things...I can see why teachers love to teach but I don't know where they get their patience from! Tomorrow will be our 3rd weekend we can't go to mom and dad VHS, first it was because I was sick and now Freyja is snotty and coughing and even though hers is probably allergies I don't dare risk her around Monnies! So I guess tomorrow will be another lazy day at home for us!

Day 27

Don't blink or he'll be in the middle of the dining table or balancing on one foot on something trying to reach something else! Oh look, he found sisters Easter bonnet, and a plastic horseshoe stake, and the electrical outlet plug covers. Oh! And now he's eating a popcicle...and the wrapper! LOOK MA!! I can hang from my curtains! Ooooo, I wonder what this does!! Its been a day with this kid...I don't think theres anything he didn't try to climb, eat, lick, swipe, conquere, destroy or just touch today! And his fathers response? Thats my boy! My response....why did I want two??

Day 26

So here's how I spend my evening! A bunch of local moms got together at a friend of mines house and turned her home into a swap shop for the night. There was about 20 of us total, we had a wonderful pot luck spread for dinner then an awesome time going through eachothers stuff and taking home piles of new stuff! I scored at least 40 pieces of clothing for Freyja, mainly dresses and mainly stuff that she will be able to wear to school in the fall. I found Jax a couple pairs of pants, found me a few shirts and even found mom a few turquoise prizes. Turns out this is going to become a regulary occurrance (varying locations)! The kids had a great evening home with daddy and Freyja looked through all of her new clothes when I got home and I received thumbs up on everything! YAY!!

Day 25

It's not the happiest picture in the world but it goes with my challenge of documenting everything for a year. Today Jax skinned his knees for the first time. He was playing ball and tripped on it and hit the concrete. Poor guy...we rushed him inside and I nursed while daddy doctored. He didn't like the alcohol on it but as long as he was being nursed he wasn't moving! The other knee is a little red but didn't bleed and his hands are clean. Sister didn't care for Jax falling at all! She hovered close by til the crying ended to make sure "her baby" would live. And of course off they were again like nothing ever happened!

Day 24

I'm so grateful for my big Bugg! She may be a loudmouth, and a rambunctious lil girl but she has a sweetness about that steadies my nerves before I crack most days. Just look at the sweetness in that loving little face :-) Yeah... I guess we'll keep her!

Day 23

Grocery day with Gran!! After dropping the Big Bugg off at school this morning Jax and I went to pick up Gran and run errands then picked up a very happily surprised Bugg after preschool. I've posted a TON new pix of mom's turquoise explosion in her bedroom/bathroom. I can honestly say it looks gorgeous! For Freyja's 5th birthday we are giving her a complete room makeover in her choice, as of right now its "turquoise like Grans!!!". I have a psycho little man tonight that doesn't seem to want to sleep. He napped in the car on the way home then shared some Crunch n Munch with me...maybe not the wisest choice...Guess I will catnap on the couch while he destroys (I mean plays) in the den tomorrow! Good night!

Day 22

Typical Sunday...laundry, errands, shows, straighten house and snuggle buggs! Tomorrow we are off to Milton to see Gran!

Day 21

And so begins the cartoon couch camaraderie! I know in the future there will be more times than not that they are screaming about who wants to watch what, but at least this is one of those few peaceful moments! Its been a quiet, kinda lazy day. We ran a few errands, dropped off mom vh's souvenir from last nights opera (coffee mug) and a box of chocolates and get well card for Monnies, who by the way, did not have a blood clot in her leg and was able to come home last night after all! And then the rest of the day has just been a quiet one here in the house, including setting up ALL of Freyja's Strawberry Shortcake toys in her bedroom and playing with them for a while. Tomorrow is laundry day...and a bunch of it!

Day 20

Went to the dr today, was diagnosed with bronchitis, ear infections and a sinus infection. Why have one, when I can have all three right? Was supposed to go see Madame Butterfly with mom vh but Monnies was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in the leg so after a last minute scramble to find someone to go with me, DJ accompanied me to the opera. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the opera! Makes me want to see The marriage of Figaro now!! Kids had a great time watching a movie at home with their daddy and sharing popcorn. Overall it's been a great day!

Day 19

My north going zax and my south going zax (Dr Seuss reference), neither will bend to let the other pass! It was a nice afternoon to play in the yard, followed by a huge bowl of white chicken chili and crescent rolls!

David is stuck in his splint for another 6wks, has a topical anti inflammatory cream and still no real verdict about what's wrong with his wrist.

And last but not least, I am back to stay-at-home mom status til next rushin may!

Day 18

Tonight was "girls night out" with some mom friends and I dragged my bff Wendy along with me knowing how much she loves hibachi. We had a great evening and a wonderful dinner. I have one day of work left (for real this time) and I will be done with this "rush". Tomorrow David has a dr's appt to find out whats wrong with his wrist. He's been in the brace now since before Christmas and his dr's office is just now getting around to seeing him. Hopefully we'll know whats up with it soon. DJ is keeping the kids for us so that I can go to the appt with him incase we need to take him to the hospital for an MRI or anything else. Other than that, I have a wired boy on my VERY sleepy hands and can't wait to go to sleep...excuse me while I find something soft to knock this kid out for the night!

Day 17

Early work day, milk/yogurt run, played with my big fancy camera with the kids in the back yard, Freyja built a new Lego house with her daddy and taco salad for dinner. Excellent day! Today's picture is one from my new camera :-)

Day 16

You KNOW you wanna kiss him! Too cute, too sweet, and wild to the core! He learned to open my bedroom door today...had to lock myself in for a nap! Next thing we know we'll find a lock picking set in his diaper! Don't let the sweet thoughtfulness of his pensive face fool you, that impish grin is only the beginning...heaven help us!! And not to go unmentioned, Freyja taught/helped him scale a baby gate recently...oh the fun I see in my future! Now if I could just feel better so I can keep up with my troublesome twosome!

Day 15

Bugg and I went to see Beauty and the Beast today, it was Freyja's first movie and my first 3d movie. We thoroughly enjoyed cuddling and sharing popcorn and m&ms. She did MUCH better than I has anticipated, didn't even need a potty break! Daddy and Jax had an uneventful day at home and were bouncing in the bedroom window when we pulled into the driveway. It's been a great day!

Day 14

It's been a quiet day. David caught up on some work, Jax and I went to the mall and bought Cinnabon and Freyja painted/cut/crafted all afternoon. Tomorrow Freyja and I are going to her very first theater movie, Beauty and the Beast in 3D :-)

Day 13

And on Friday the 13th the fangs come out! Here's daddy and Jax having a growling and teeth gnashing contest...neither of which I would want to be in a losing battle against! Jax has officially entered the biting stage...we may have two family members with dentures VERY soon!

Day 12

 Spaghetti night!! And yes, she's topless at the table but its a necessary evil! Jax thoroughly LOVED his garlic bread tonight and even did a pretty bang up job on his bowl of spaghetti. Gotta love crock pots and being able to put something on in the morning and have dinner ready by the time you get home from an insane day at work! Tomorrow is theoretically my last day of work for this rush but will be "on call" next week in the mornings in case they need someone to help with paperwork and "problems". I know its a little early but TGIF and yay for the weekend!!

Day 11

I think I need to set an alarm for myself to remember to blog daily, I almost went to bed!

Tonight gets two pix only so that you can see what my precious Bugg was up to tonight and the final product. For having such a wonderful first week back in school, minding daddy while I work and just being an all around awesome Bugg, she got to pick out a small prize at the store today. Here is her first SIXTY piece puzzle, which she put together all by her self (and then once with me)! She is awesome at puzzles, they fit together very easy for her! I can't wait to try out one of those 500+ piece ones with her when she's bigger!

No work tomorrow morning! Yay! I guess lil man and I will need to find some mischief to get into!

Day 10

Nope, didn't forget! Just had to finish reading my book before I could concentrate on anything else!

Here are my precious boys! Too bad they don't like each other right? I can't wait to see what antics they'll get into as Jax get bigger!

Three more days of rush, I'm catching a cold and the kids are ready to have their mama back!

Day 9

This is how Bugg and I end our day, reading a story and snugging down tight in her bed. Tonight we are reading Curious George. She and i LOVE our new iPad, it has opened a whole new world of reading for us!

Day 8

He ain't heavy, he my brudder! Nothing says loving like a lil buddy head locking his puppy in a loving embrace! Star loves her lil antagonist and surprisingly puts up with most of it, I think mainly because she knows he'll feed her :-)

Day 7

It's been a beautiful 72degree day! We've had the house open, gone for bike rides around the cul de sac, grilled burgers and hot dogs, played in the back yard and now the kids are relaxing in a hot pink bubble bath! Yay for beautiful days and yay for color tabs!

Day 6

Deal with it mom! Here's a picture of the bane of poor Jaxs existence. A glimpse into my work! I sorted well over 500 charges today and today could almost be considered a slow day...Monday will be 4x worse!

Day 5

The opinionated one is now asleep! Lil man has has it with me working (though it's only been 3 days) and decided this evening would be a great time to voice his concerns...needless to say it tuckered him out in the process!
Hopefully once rush is over I will have the brain power to remember to take pix earlier in the day! 6 more days!!

Day 4

I almost forgot!! I'm not used to having "assignments" anymore.
So a certain MOTHER who will go unnamed declared her disappointment in yesterday's post claiming it should be about her kids not a camera! So MOTHER I will do my best to focus daily blogs around the family and Not around inanimate objects.

Today my darling Buggs decided to antagonize each other constantly...this picture represents their 2 second treaty before once again starting up the wailing and gnashing of teeth. Thank goodness bedtime came early! Both were out by 830. So I'm going back to reading my book now and enjoying the silence!!

Day 3

The other part of my Christmas gift came in today so in spirit of my challenge I chose to take a picture of my new picture taker! May she and I go on many fun adventures together and may she send you many a gorgeous picture of my Buggs!!

Day 2

SAMs grocery shopping, lunch at Firehouse Subs, once a month hamburger meat browning (LOVE my deep freezer!), and Legos! What a great way to end our Christmas break!

365 Challenge

I'm trying something new for the new year! Welcome to my 365 challenge! My goal is to take one picture a day and blog at least a couple of sentences about the day for one entire year.

Today is Sunday, the first day of the week and coincidentally the first day of 2012. We have a couple of things already to look forward to this year...Freyja turns 5 and starts Kindergarten. Jaxon will turn 2. I get to see my all time favorite band (Pink Floyd) in concert. And who knows what else this year will hold for us! 2011 was a great year, 2012 will be better :-)

Today's picture represents what we hold most precious to our hearts...each other! If you look close you'll even see Star in the picture! We have a strong family bond and love our time together. This is the perfect shot to start off my challenge!
