Day 272

Jax and I took Gran grocery shopping today. Once we got back to the house and were unloading groceries I caught a movement out of the corner of my eye and it was moms turtle! I unstrapped Jax and let him loose and we followed the turtle back to its nest. Jax LOVED it!!! After seeing the video, Freyja says the turtles name is Jasmine...who am I to argue with a 5yr old?!? Freyja and David went to a school function today, it was a Father's Day out type program where dads and kids all meet at the park and get acquainted. Both had an awesome time! They were just finishing a movie as Jax and I arrived back home. Tomorrow is clean house and laundry day...boo!!

Day 270

I HAVE DRUGS!!!i would shout that from the roof tops but would probably have DCFS banging down my door shortly after! To clarify, my dr called in some antibiotics for me this morning for my sinus junk. It's the craziest scheduled med I've ever taken (21 pills over 6 day) but day one went down the hatch just fine! In other news, I have a boy! Yeah, not new news but he's acting more like one! Slamming doors, messes, head butting, roaring at everything, tantrums...would I trade him for a second drama queen? No! But I'm not sure I'm up to the learning experience he has in store for me! Then he has sweet moments like taking "baby" to school to pick up sister and he has it cradled in his arms and the next thing I hear is kisses! Freyja starts an after school exercise program on Monday. If Jax is allowed in his stroller, he and I will walk with her, if not we will walk while she participates. It's for one hour after school on Mondays only from Oct 1-Apr 29. Time to head to bed and pray the meds and nose pin let me sleep tonight!

Day 269

Picked up our Gymboree purchase today, including Freyjas "winter fairy"Halloween costume. Kids LOVED their costumes! This will probably be the last year I have "control" over Freyjas choice but at least I know what my girl loves! Jax went around roaring and growling at me for about an hour. David took pity on me tonight with my sinus infection and no word about a call in to the doctor and took us for Chinese. However, after my 4th or 5th plate of crab legs he told me it was time to go! Freyja tried the crab but did not care for but she did enjoy helping crack them open. Jax nibbled some but once the ice cream came to the table we never heard another peep from him! Once home we watched a couple of cartoons with the kids and he fell asleep beside me about 730. I changed Freyjas earrings to her new hearts, no screams or fusses! Though at shower time the towel got hung on the ladybug antenna and really got her screaming! Tomorrow...more OJ, r&r and some tlc from the lil man! As for tonight...NyQuil, Benadryl and a tea tree oil infused nose plug!

Day 268

I'm going to make millions off my lil Jello pudding snack kid! Move over Bill Cosby, my lil red headed, soulful brown eyed pudding monster is coming for your job! We replaced Freyjas earrings today, yesterday was the 6wk mark. We took her to the mall and she picked out two pairs of screw back earrings. Little ladybugs and some red hearts. Everyone is still surviving though I have the sinus drainage cough now. Love fall, hate the allergies it brings with it!

Day 266

We must be feeling better if we can tolerate time outdoors! Still coughing, sneezing and needing to carry a bucket around under our nose faucets but at least we have more energy than a newborn kitten again! Today we hit the RedBox and got the kids a cartoon and John Carter for David and I. If you enjoyed Time Machine (the original HG Wells variety), throw in some Jim Hensen muppetry and some awesome CG effects and you have an awesome remake of this movie! Totally one I can see adding to our collection! If Uncle Hank hasn't seen it, I strongly advise a RedBox night!! Same goes for you dad! Tomorrow, health permitting, we have a play date with Freya and Nicole after school. Tomorrow night I have volunteer orientation at her school to learn what I signed up for as a room mother and PTA member. Life as a mother of a school age child is proving to be quite busy!!

Day 265

When Jax and I weren't asleep today we were napping! I'm sorry buddy feels as bad as I do but the bonus is the fact he sleeps! This is the 3rd time this week daddy has caught us napping together on the couch, I forgot how comfy that couch is for napping! Is it bedtime yet??

Day 263

I look up from my dinner and what do I see? A little naked peni running around in front me! Where are his pants? What happened to his diaper? In his bedroom floor full of poo of course! Oh the things that little boys do....

Tonight was open house at school. I now have a detailed list of where Freyja is at all times. It still hasn't fully sunk in that I have a kindergartener!

Time for bed before I forget my sons name again in the middle of the night!

Day 261

I have two kids sick with sinus infections meaning very little sleep and very grumpy little people. Not to mention an infected hole in the drama princesses ear and a daddy that accidentally removed the whole earring making mama be the bad guy and having to put it back in. It's been a loud wailing and gnashing of teeth kind of day. Jax and I did go to DJs for a bit though and got to play with Cheyanne (DJs niece), she's from March to August older than Jax. Xander caught a lizard for them and they played for ages with it. I gave both kids Benadryl before bed and both are now passed out though I'm sure I'll be hearing Jax in a few hours. I love fall but I hate the allergies it brings with it!

Day 258

Today was an impromptu girls day. I ended up taking Freyja to the babyshower since Nayeli would be there. The girls played nicely on the patio of the restaurant and enjoyed seeing the baby. Then she and I used our free movie tickets to go see Finding Nemo in 3D. Within 30minutes of getting home (830ish) she was crashed in bed. I know she's having allergy issues because the poor kid has to walk around constantly with a tissue for her runny nose. She's not sick but I know she's not 100% either.Jax and daddy had a fun afternoon together playing. Although daddy did not pay as close of attention as he should have and Jax took the contents of his pb sandwich and finger painted the hall on front of our bedroom. I noticed it upon returning home so David had fun scrubbing dry pb off the wall. Tomorrow Freya is coming over for a playdate while Nicole and I go see Gone With the Wind at the theater downtown. Hopefully monster man will go to sleep soon so I can too!

Day 257

The highlight of today was picking Freyja up from school, not telling her where we were going then seeing the look of surprise and happiness when she saw her friend Nayeli an realized we were at her house for a playdate. The kids all had a great time playing while Lupe and I put together Lisa's diaper cakes. We were just going to make one but since I had bought two pkgs of diapers we made two instead and put Ryker Hendrix on them (first and middle name). After making the cakes, Lupe gave me a quick tutorial on French braiding. The kids fell asleep on the way home so we tucked them straight in bed at 730ish and since it's Friday I'm off duty so I can go to bed and sleeeeeeep!!!!!

Day 255

Day 3 of this nasty headache! It starts about 4 and by 7 I'm ready to claw my eyes out and rip out my hair! Today David had some down time in the middle of his day so we went to the mall for a bit and found some precious squirrel clothes for Freyja and some Dino clothes for Jax and I finally bought the fedora for him. The kids are now set with long sleeve clothes but Jax still needs jeans. Freyja received a "dog bone" today for good behavior. After we fill out name and teacher on it, she will put it in for a drawing for a prize and a chance to be student of the week (or month...I can't remember). Tomorrow is our first PTA meeting, we are also going to dinner at CiCis for booster night, 20% of all sales go to your school if you go on your schools booster night. That's it for tonight...just hoping Jax goes to sleep soon so I can rest my head!

Day 253

My head is pounding so I'll make this short! Class was great, instead of 30min we went for about 60-75min. At least I know my buttons now! I had hoped to have an edited pic tonight for the blog but my head hurts too bad to concentrate. I repotted my peppers today, the picture is my final product. Well worth the $30 makeover to have my peppers happy and upright again! Jax had his first big boo boo today, skinned a hand a knee and an arm. Luckily no face!!! Freyja had a great day at school. Star had a "girly" check up today, David wants pups while she is still able so we took her in for bloodwork and all that fun stuff. Will know tomorrow if we can start playing match maker for her!

Day 252

We spent the morning helping a coworker with her Internet only to find out her cable box on the outside of the house had been overrun by an ant colony. She lives way out in the middle of no where and has chickens so while David fussed with high speed Internet junkie ants, the kids and I fed chickens and played on tractors. Afterwards we had lunch at mom and dad vh's, took the kids for a swim, came home and Freyja and I played while Jax and daddy played. Tomorrow I pick up Ed and take him to get the van back and then in the evening I take my first one on one photoshop class. I have a friend that's a dental hygienist and she said Freyjas teeth will eventually push the babies out and be just fine so no more worries about raising a shark girl!

Day 251

I leave for one night out with the girls, which by the way ended before midnight, and come home to find out my beauty has sprouted TWO new teeth that are pushing out the baby teeth and my baby boy can now say GECKO!!! I have one heck of a proud daddy though, he was so pleased to be the first one to make the discoveries! He took pix and video for me and saved it til I came home so he wouldn't "ruin" my night. 

The girls and I had a good night at Wendys. We at pizza and death by chocolate brownies and watched a movie. I am home now and about to head to bed. Love to all!

Day 250

It was grandparents day at school today. Mom and dad vh went since they were closest. Freyja loved having them there but of course missed her Gran. I included a picture of her hair today. I think this was my best French braid so far! Jax and I took the car in for an oil change and alignment, then played trains at Barnes and Noble for a bit, went grocery shopping and then I worked my final day of rush for this semester. Tomorrow is a girls night with Wendy and DJ so I can't swear I will be home to blog. I promise to be safe but I can't swear we will behave :-)

Day 249

Jax had his 2 yr check up today. He's 35in tall and 27lbs. No shots today! Dr says he's not worried about the lack of vocabulary. Nor should we be concerned about his eyes, though he did suggest adding sunglasses as a permanent accessory to both kids anytime we are outside. I start a photoshop class Monday, it will teach me the basic photo editing techniques I need to make my pictures stand out even more. It's a one on one tutorial, 12 classes, 30 minutes each. I can't wait to start!!

Day 248

I should start a hair blog...180 days of school hair do's! Today was a black shirt day because she had Dino noodles for lunch. Luckily I thought ahead and bought her a pretty black bow to compliment her black outfits. Every morning after I fix her hair she asks for a picture so she can see what it looks like. Good news is, I have a playdate scheduled with a mom friend that knows how to do some awesome braids so hopefully we can hog tie the girls long enough for a quick braiding lesson!! Tomorrow is Jaxs 2yr check up, I scheduled it for after his birthday so that it would not conflict with work. Daddy is taking him to his appt while mama stays home and cleans house! Yay!!! Can't wait to get growth stats tomorrow!!

Day 247

It's been a busy last few days, the first of the month always is and then adding in working and still getting the school routine thing down my brain is struggling to catch up! Went to a swap Saturday night and found some stuff for the kids and a nice pair of gray sweatpants for me. Freyjas favorite find was the Ponyo doll, Jax got a puppy phone that can record a message and play it back for him. Took mom grocery shopping on Sunday without the kids, we enjoyed breakfast at Waffle House and managed to get ol all of our shopping done with out either of us whining or getting time outs! Monday Nicole and I took the kids to the zoo in Gulf Shores. It was Jaxs first real time going to a zoo, he got to pet a kangaroo and feed some animals. Both of the girls LOVED the zoo as well. It was well worth the extra traveling distance to go! Today Jax and I went to Old Navy to return Freyjas peacock dress because the sequins started falling off after one wash. I had called home office about it and they sent me a $15 gc for calling it in. THey were out of the dress at my store because it was clearanced but surprisingly a Mobile store had it and is sending me a new dress!! I received my full refund for the dress and was able to purchase the new one at the discounted price ($5 vs $20). While there, I found Freyja two much needed little camisoles (one black, one white) to wear under some of her looser necked items and bought Jax his Halloween costume, a gorgeous green dragon costume with green iridescent wings. After work I went up to the hospital and saw my friend Lisa, she had baby boy #2 last night. Hes soooooo much smaller than either of mine were!! But I've had my baby fix now until the next friend has one! No more for me but I'm not above visiting and stealing someone else's for a few minutes!! Only a few more days of work and I am done for rush!! Yay!!!
