Day 189

It's been a fun day! Freyja and I went this morning for her 5yr portraits. They took some gorgeous pix of her and it broke my heart to only be able to pick out two of them but she's my beautiful girl so I can just admire her at home instead of the pictures. We picked up daddy and Jax and had lunch at Chik Fil A together. Jax went up into the play area for the first time ever. He enjoyed playing up there but got overwhelmed and I had to go save him. We had a cook out and swim night with the Howells (DJ) and the Roberts (Adam). It's always fun to had a pool full of friends! Hopefully lil man will sleep soon and I can have some relaxation time!

Day 188

The morning started at 5am with strobe lightening and the day just kept getting better! Jax woke up at 815ish and fell back asleep on me on the couch til sometime after 930. Freyja woke up at 10am, David finally emerged about 1030. After a tantrum Jax took a nap about 330 then we met DJ and kids for a swim about 530. Freyja has melted down since the moment the kids left to go home...I'm at a loss at what to do with her...I can't take these daily sometimes hourly crying jags over the stupidest stuff! Then you add Jax and his tantrums and you really wonder why David and I aren't alcoholics! Tomorrow is Freyjas 5yr portraits and then we have a cookout and swim planned with Dj and kids and Adam, Heather and Sarina. Now it's time to knock out the boy and go drown my headache in some music and find my happy place again!

Day 187

Sweet moments still occur with my beauty but they are far and few between it seems! This morning Star actually tolerated Freyja cuddling her this morning on the couch and even curled up on her. Freyja went to Granmamas today and had icecream, blew bubbles and baked cookies. Jax and I went and ordered her birthday balloons then went back to pick her up. When it cooled off this evening we went out and played with the neighbor for a bit. Then bath time and trying I catch a wee naked lad that had nooooooo interest in pjs. Now daddy is dealing with a very grumpy boy and I'm putting down my beauty!

Day 186

My house is spotless and smells of BBQ chicken, broiled corn on the cob and lavender pinesol, my feet are killing me, I smell like chlorine and sulfur! It's been an awesome Fourth of July! We cleaned house today, grilled out with Adam, Heather, Sarina, Nicole, Pat and Freya, went for an evening swim, had pie and icecream for dessert then set off some fireworks. David grilled BBQ chicken for the first time and did a great job. There wasn't enough room to grill the corn so the girls and I tried to set the kitchen on fire broiling it, I had the rack too high and it starting setting the corn on fire so had to move the rack down. The kids enjoyed each other and the fireworks. The adults had great conversation and food. Adam and I had great time being pyromaniacs and blowing stuff up. Both kids are now passed out in their beds and this mama is right behind them!!

Day 185

Kids and I found fireworks in town today so didn't have to make a run for the border after all! Freyja was thrilled to get to help pick them out and then pick out her sparklers. It's confirmed that Nicole, Freya and Enir (dad) along with Adam, heather and Sarina will all be joining us for BBQ and fireworks and swimming if weather allows or we'll be at our house playing board games. That means I need to clean house tomorrow and prep the den for four kids instead of just my two. Three girls and one Jax...should make for an interesting night! Hopefully Jax will sleep all night and not have another yogurt craving at 5am! It's hard to get back to sleep when you start seeing the sun rise. The kids played with a balloon tonight, Jax learned how to blow it up them let go and it make noise. He loved his balloon play!! Happy fourth to you all tomorrow! Day 184

PJ girl and turtle boy shared a Sunny Delight popcicle tonight after playing outside and taking their bath. They've played well together as usual though sister did knock him off the couch at one point and him knocking his head on the floor. As I gave them their bath tonight I noticed they both have little tan lines from their bathing suits. It's so cute to see the little straps on Freyjas back and the little white butt on Jax! Tomorrow morning we're off to the Alabama border to buy fireworks for the 4th. We're having a small cookout at mom and dad vhs with Adam, Heather and Sarina and maybe Nicole, Freya and her daddy. I've already done my grocery shopping for the cookout so tomorrow I can focus on fireworks and laundry!

Day 183

We played over at Granmamas and Opas today. Freyja played ball in the backyard with Granmama then she went swimming with us. It was her first time in the pool in almost a decade! Jax took a short nap upon returning home which has made for a late night most likely. Gotta do first of the month shopping tomorrow including birthday stuff for Freyjas party. Also need to call and schedule her 5yr portraits. And if course I need to hunt down fireworks for Wednesday!! Yay :-)
