Day 269

Picked up our Gymboree purchase today, including Freyjas "winter fairy"Halloween costume. Kids LOVED their costumes! This will probably be the last year I have "control" over Freyjas choice but at least I know what my girl loves! Jax went around roaring and growling at me for about an hour. David took pity on me tonight with my sinus infection and no word about a call in to the doctor and took us for Chinese. However, after my 4th or 5th plate of crab legs he told me it was time to go! Freyja tried the crab but did not care for but she did enjoy helping crack them open. Jax nibbled some but once the ice cream came to the table we never heard another peep from him! Once home we watched a couple of cartoons with the kids and he fell asleep beside me about 730. I changed Freyjas earrings to her new hearts, no screams or fusses! Though at shower time the towel got hung on the ladybug antenna and really got her screaming! Tomorrow...more OJ, r&r and some tlc from the lil man! As for tonight...NyQuil, Benadryl and a tea tree oil infused nose plug!

Day 268

I'm going to make millions off my lil Jello pudding snack kid! Move over Bill Cosby, my lil red headed, soulful brown eyed pudding monster is coming for your job! We replaced Freyjas earrings today, yesterday was the 6wk mark. We took her to the mall and she picked out two pairs of screw back earrings. Little ladybugs and some red hearts. Everyone is still surviving though I have the sinus drainage cough now. Love fall, hate the allergies it brings with it!

Day 266

We must be feeling better if we can tolerate time outdoors! Still coughing, sneezing and needing to carry a bucket around under our nose faucets but at least we have more energy than a newborn kitten again! Today we hit the RedBox and got the kids a cartoon and John Carter for David and I. If you enjoyed Time Machine (the original HG Wells variety), throw in some Jim Hensen muppetry and some awesome CG effects and you have an awesome remake of this movie! Totally one I can see adding to our collection! If Uncle Hank hasn't seen it, I strongly advise a RedBox night!! Same goes for you dad! Tomorrow, health permitting, we have a play date with Freya and Nicole after school. Tomorrow night I have volunteer orientation at her school to learn what I signed up for as a room mother and PTA member. Life as a mother of a school age child is proving to be quite busy!!

Day 265

When Jax and I weren't asleep today we were napping! I'm sorry buddy feels as bad as I do but the bonus is the fact he sleeps! This is the 3rd time this week daddy has caught us napping together on the couch, I forgot how comfy that couch is for napping! Is it bedtime yet??

Day 263

I look up from my dinner and what do I see? A little naked peni running around in front me! Where are his pants? What happened to his diaper? In his bedroom floor full of poo of course! Oh the things that little boys do....

Tonight was open house at school. I now have a detailed list of where Freyja is at all times. It still hasn't fully sunk in that I have a kindergartener!

Time for bed before I forget my sons name again in the middle of the night!

Day 261

I have two kids sick with sinus infections meaning very little sleep and very grumpy little people. Not to mention an infected hole in the drama princesses ear and a daddy that accidentally removed the whole earring making mama be the bad guy and having to put it back in. It's been a loud wailing and gnashing of teeth kind of day. Jax and I did go to DJs for a bit though and got to play with Cheyanne (DJs niece), she's from March to August older than Jax. Xander caught a lizard for them and they played for ages with it. I gave both kids Benadryl before bed and both are now passed out though I'm sure I'll be hearing Jax in a few hours. I love fall but I hate the allergies it brings with it!

Day 258

Today was an impromptu girls day. I ended up taking Freyja to the babyshower since Nayeli would be there. The girls played nicely on the patio of the restaurant and enjoyed seeing the baby. Then she and I used our free movie tickets to go see Finding Nemo in 3D. Within 30minutes of getting home (830ish) she was crashed in bed. I know she's having allergy issues because the poor kid has to walk around constantly with a tissue for her runny nose. She's not sick but I know she's not 100% either.Jax and daddy had a fun afternoon together playing. Although daddy did not pay as close of attention as he should have and Jax took the contents of his pb sandwich and finger painted the hall on front of our bedroom. I noticed it upon returning home so David had fun scrubbing dry pb off the wall. Tomorrow Freya is coming over for a playdate while Nicole and I go see Gone With the Wind at the theater downtown. Hopefully monster man will go to sleep soon so I can too!
