Day 182

Took mom first of the month shopping today without kids! It was a nice change for us both! Wouldn't say we finished quicker or more efficiently but it was a lot quieter! Came home and took the kids swimming then to Marble Slab for ice cream. Jax didn't want ice cream tonight so he had the Reese's pieces that I still had in my purse from last nights movie. Tomorrow we're having lunch at mom and dad VHS then swimming again. Hopefully the kids will go to sleep soon!!

Day 181

Jax slept all night in his new bed WITHOUT bed rails!! This morning we met some friends at the butterfly house in Navarre. Freya had a butterfly land on her!! Zane cried at the sight of all the butterflies pinned in the shadow boxes. All the kids LOVED the splash pad! Freyja fed a duck the remainder of the bread from my wrap, the kids then chased the duck til we rounded them all up and headed to mom and dad VHS for a swim. I have a touch of sun in the middle of my back but it should fade to a tan in the next day or two. Freyja got some sun on her cheeks, Jax is just as alabaster as always! I went to a movie tonight but it sucked! All that hype for nothing! Now for a nice quiet Saturday and then Sunday shopping ALONE with my mama! And of course goodbye June, hello July!!

Day 180

Jax was so anxious to try out his bed, he conked at 630! It's been a quiet evening! Jaxs bed arrived at 830am, I set it up while David went back down to the store for a mattress protector. I took Freyja speaker shopping for her Nano (iPod), made zuppa tuscana (Italian bean soup) for dinner, put Jax to bed then played on the computer while Freyja and David watched cartoons. And for a rare treat he even put her to bed! Tomorrow we are off to the butterfly house for a picnic and to play at the splash pad! I should've packed this evening but I ran out of those "round tuits"! I am the queen of procrastination!

Day 179

Had to show all three pix today just to show off my Buggs busy day! Freyja stayed all night with Freya and Nicole last night, this morning she went to swim lessons and watched Freya swim and now wants to take lessons again. Then they went to Chuckee Cheeses with a friend of Nicole's (Mark) and then TCBY for dessert and finally the park where I met back up with them to claim my child. She had a wonderful time and is already begging to go back. After coming home, she downed a glass of OJ and promptly passed out on the couch for about an hour til I woke her up for a bath, dinner and bed. Friday we are meeting them in Navarre for a playdate at the butterfly house! And tomorrow Jaxs new bed will be delivered!! Yay!!

Day 178

My friend Nicole just texted me this picture a little while ago of the girls playing together. Freyja is spending the night for the first time ever with her friend Freya. They just FaceTime called me (where you can see each other on the phone as well as talk) and we got to say goodnight and Jax got to wave at his sister. Earlier today we went and bought Jax a new mattress and box springs set. His has been hurting my back for long enough and David is ready for our bed back so he finally relented to get buddy a new mattress . It will be delivered Thursday!!! YAY!!!

Day 177

Lil man had a much better night last night. 730 still came waaaaay to early but at least he was a happy baby! He actually ate today so he must be feeling better! The kids coexisted and played nicely in Freyjas room for a while this afternoon. Jax and I wet to buy milk today (normal Monday errand) and brought home Freyja a new princess, Sleeping Beauty, to add to her little rubber collection. We rode bikes with the neighbor for a little while then enjoyed some icecream before prepping for bed. I finished all the towel laundry today, tomorrow I strip beds and put on the new mattress protectors and fresh sheets! Jax is still whiney enough that I only have time for one small task at a time before he gets needy and noisy. Sick babies and daily routines do not go hand in hand!

Day 176

It's been a slow day. Laundry, cartoons, cuddles, naps, more laundry, princess play, grandparents and more laundry. It was a great afternoon to let the kids run around the yard. TS Debbie has been kind so far, hopefully she stays that way! This week I'm putting my house back in order and prep Freyjas birthday invitations. Hopefully Jax will be back in his bed by mid week and everyone sleeping again!

Day 175

Jax not sleeping is starting to take its toll on Freyja as well. She was up at 7am asking for milk, after drinking it she promptly passed out in the chair for an additional two hours. Jax napped for a little while today but is VERY cranky and VERY tired. His tongue has three huge white blisters on it, his gums bleed if you touch them and his one on the outside of his mouth must be itching because he keeps picking at it. At least he's taking his Meds without much fuss. Four more days til the meds are done, hopefully it will kick the herpes viruses butt and leave my baby alone!

Day 174

Took my beauty to a movie tonight! We went to see Brave and loved it! Daddy took Jax to see Opa and Granmamas. Earlier in the day I took the kids to the new science hall that just opened up downtown. It was fun but a bit over the kids age group. Jax loved the wind vortex and testing the parachutes we made. Hopefully the dry spell we've had on sleep this week will break and Jax will sleep more than an hour at a time! Tomorrow is laundry day then some mama time!!! Yay!!!

Day 173

Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed, even when you're only 22months old! Kids and I went to the public pool today and had a blast! Freyja is begging to go back tomorrow already! Jax could've cared less, it was a little too crazy for him I think. Then we went to Chik Fil A for lunch and played with the other Freya. Then as we sat there eating our icecream, Nicole and I got a good look at Jaxs mouth and the kid had at least 3 huge pustules on his tongue!! So I call the sr and made an appt. Took Freyja home and she received a pkg in the mail, she had won a contest from her Strawberry Shortcake magazine and got a tote bag, crayons, markers, sidewalk chalk and an activity book. Took Jax to the dr, he has HSV-1, otherwise known as herpes. Most likely caught it from me and sharing a straw with me while I had the mouthful of fever blisters in Utah. They put him on an antibiotic for the next week three times a day. Hopefully the poor kid will sleep now and feel better soon! Tomorrow we have yet another playdate, this time with Dj and the kids! TGIF!!

Day 172

Oh the mischief Grandaddy and Freyja can get into! I'm so glad the two of them can play together!! Cutting this short tonight as we have a playdate in the morning and I need to knock out kids!

Day 171

It's been one of those days I've wanted to put my fist through a wall! Lack of sleep, clingy kids, David being even more David than usual, computer issues...I've searched for the reset button on today or pause or ffwd or SOMETHING but nevertheless this day has finally drug itself to an excruciating slow end and now I can knock out kids, engross myself in my book and maybe sleep 5minutes before someone disturbs me. Tomorrow I have yet another dr appt and labs. I promise tomorrow I will have a more positive outlook again!

Day 170

Well the butterfly house is only open Wednesday-Saturday so today we went to Chik Fil A for lunch then to the park for a little more play time before taking dad to the airport. Jax of course immediately started chiming for Papa the moment he left the car, Freyja teared up and has whined about missing Papa hourly since. I just got a txt saying he just landed in SLC, so at least I know he made it home safe. Tomorrow is a house cleaning day...I've let too much slide and need to get back on top of stuff! Jax has been asleep since 7 so it'll probably be an early morning. Here's hoping he sleeps all night!!

Day 169

It's been a wonderful quiet day! Dad and I cuddled on the couch and watched a movie, played with our pictures, went for a swim and just had a great day! Dad went gate crashing tonight and obliterated the baby gate to my bedroom. He landed flat in he hallway on top of his computer. Nothing and no one was injured but it sure shook us all up! In the morning we're headed to the butterfly house and splash pad in Navarre. His flight takes off at 345pm so we have time for one more adventure before he leaves. We've had a great visit and as always he will be missed and urged to come back sooner than later!!

Day 168

Proof you are never too big for mamas lap! Freyja woke up shortly after me this morning, crawled into my lap and went back to sleep. After a half hour I had to wake her so we could make waffles for daddy and papa. Dad and I went out to the beach tonight to take some pix, we saw a dolphin and four sting ray. Watched the sun set off the pier then had dinner, listened to live music then came home. Tomorrow is his last day here then he leaves early Monday morning. Jax will be a heart broken lil boy when his papa leaves! That's boys happiness rises and sets on his papa! Hopefully that just means papa will come back again soon!!

Day 167

Good thing my children have my restless spirit! It's amazing how much we're NOT home when company visits! Just a couple more days with dad here...still need to hang blinds, put up Freyjas ceiling fan and maybe squeeze in a trip to the beach! It's been a great visit but I think I agree with dad, next time we either go there or him come here only instead of back and forth, been a loooooog but fun two weeks!

Day 166

I give up trying to keep track of days at this point...it feels like it was DAYS ago that I dropped mom off at aunt Nita's but it was just yesterday. I look forward to sleeping tonight and maybe getting back on the same timeline as everyone else! It's raining so might have to adjust plans for tomorrow...honestly sleep sounds the best but we shall see. We took the kids swimming tonight but the water was super chilly. It's good to be home with my family!!!

Day 165

I'm sitting here in my hotel room, tired deafened foot sore and elated beyond words! I cannot even begin to describe how truly wonderful today has been! The botanical gardens were breath taking! World of Coca Cola was a lot of fun. CNN wasnt too impressive but mainly just stopped in there for dinner since it was next door to the concert. The concert...there are no words! I cried the moment he stepped on stage and bawled several more times just because I couldn't believe I was sitting there watching a show I never dreamed would tour again. I miss my children tremendously! I miss my hubby!! I can't wait to be back in the loving arms of my family tomorrow! For now, I'm off to bed, gotta pick mom up and make it back to Pensacola before the rental car turns into a pumpkin!

Day 164

Mother nature decided to kick me out of Florida a day early for my concert so I snatched up mom and made a run for Aunt Nita's! I will be leaving early tomorrow morning and going to the Botanical Gardens, then picking up our concert tickets, coke museum, checking into the hotel and then PINK FLOYD!!!! Last I talked to David Jax was watching his night time cartoon before bed and Papa and Freyja were playing checkers in bed so it appears everyone is surviving without mana!!

Day 163

It's been another loooooooooong day! Both kids were asleep before we even left the ground in SLC. I had to wake all three of them up as we arrived in DFW. We had enough time that the kids got to play in the airport kids area, then we found lunch (McDonald's), and waited while our delayed flight searched for a crew for us. We arrived home at 4pm, both kids attacked their daddy for hugs and kisses and were thrilled to be back in their own house to play! David loved his prizes (color changing shirt) and habanero nugget dipping sauce from McDonald's. Tomorrow is a recovery day, I need to do laundry and straighten up before I leave for ATL Wednesday morning. It's goooooooooood to be home!!!!

Day 162

Today we went to the Great Salt Lake, the area we went to was in Saltair and was a dead bird dumping ground. We walked out to the water and you couldn't take more than a few steps without a bird carcass at your feet. No idea why! Then we went to the Bingham Copper Mine, it's the worlds largest open copper mine and can be seen from space! It was opened in 1908 and was barely 20ft deep, now it's well over 500ft deep! The trucks can carry upwards of 3 tons in a single load!! It was fascinating and the kids loved it. Then we came home, had dinner and packed! Nate picks us up at 545 am, our flight is at 750am and we are due back in soggy Pensacola around 315!! Can't wait to kiss a puppy and pet a hubby!!

Day 161

Today we went to the Living Aquarium, both kids fell in love with the gentoo penguins! Then we went up almost 6000ft up the side of the mountain behind dads house....my sinuses may never forgive me! We met Stella's mom today briefly. We all went to Golden Corral for dinner tonight, the kids ate like little horses for the first time this entire trip! Then Jax hit rock bottom about two hours ago, melted down for a good 20min then passed out cold. Poor kid, time change and travel finally caught up! Freyja has been whiney but nothing more than usual. Low tonight is in the 30's and tomorrow in the 50's so we are heading to goodwill in the AM for jackets or sweatshirts for the kids for their final day of fun here. Nate, one of Stella's sons will be taking us to the airport Monday morning on his way to work. I am looking forward to going home to my hubby, puppy and bed but it's been a nice visit!

Day 160

It's 1111pm here so I'm still before midnight! We've had a full day of running around and having fun! We went to an aviary...it was like a zoo but strictly for birds. Dad and I had a blast with our cameras, the kids loved all the birds! We had lunch at McDonald's and the kids had a chance to play for a while dad an I rested. Then we came home and the kids proceeded to wear out the grandparents in the back yard. We finished the day by coloring and now we are reading before bed! Tomorrow we are off to the great salt lake!!

Day 159

So I survived a year in an airplane trapped with two kids! In short the flight was LONG, Freyja was awesome, Jax was great for a first time flyer at 21 months and being trapped in his mamas lap. I love dads house I want to move it to Florida!! I love his view of the mountains! I'm loving this cool weather!! And I'm loving the fact that I'm in my fathers basement with my grand fathers portrait watching over me in my great grand fathers recliner while I rock my son to sleep!! Time to go crawl in bed and prep for what I hope will not be as grueling day tomorrow!!

Day 158

It's been a tiring day and it's far from over! I have a hyper lil man that's still wide awake and showing no signs of slowing, it's storming and my mind is fixated on tomorrows flight. We took te kids swimming this afternoon with Nicole and Freya. I hadn't intended Jax take such a long nap after swimming, but he did...the girls played very well together this time though Nicole and I had to be very hands on in their play as well since sharing and taking turns just isn't in a 3 and 4 yr olds vocabulary yet. Everything is packed for tomorrow except iPhone/iPad and chargers for them but they are on charge tonight for tomorrow since they will be the kids sole purpose of entertainment in flight. Everyone is showered and spotless...I think I've done everything...keep your fingers crossed for my sanity this trip please!!!!

Day 157

While the birthday boy showered this morning I snuck in and exchanged the shirt he wanted to wear today and put out his new Minion shirt (Despicable Me) and dressed the mini minion to match his dad. He was very pleased with his new shirt!! Mom and dad vh kept the kids while David and I went out to lunch and to run a non friendly kid errand to the bank. We made it back home before the storm blew in luckily! Rob called from China and made David's night, they talked at least an hour. Tomorrow is our final prep say before take off, suitcase is packed but I still need to pack my carry on, toiletries and Freyjas backpack(toys). I still have no clue how to entertain a baby for 6hrs in a plane but somehow we will manage! T-1 day to Utah and t-T-8 days til concert!!

Day 156

My lil turtle and Bugg demanded more bananas today and within 2hrs of being home 5 bananas were already gone! I guess I just need a banana tree! Freyja had her 5yr check up today, she's 41 lbs and 44 3/4in tall!! Putting her well above her height percentile and average/slim in weight. I tried to take the kids outside to play tonight but at one point I looked down and saw no less than 6 Mosquitos on one leg ao I grabbed the wild child and went back inside. I really hate all these Mosquitos! I had a free redbox code to use tonight...I want my $0.32 back! That was one lousy movie!! We're late going to bed tonight but rather than fight the kids we figured we'd let them watch a movie while we watched ours. Tomorrow I have procured a friends daughter as babysitter for a few hours while David and I go out to celebrate his birthday. We're thinking dinner and movie but depends on how well the kids like Tori when she gets here tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Day 155

Must be doing something right...Jax has eaten fruit all day, Freyja has eaten veges and fruit all day! I bought 10 bananas yesterday, less than 24hrs later they are all gone! I bought 8 apples, and there's 3 left. We grilled chicken kebabs tonight with corn on the cob, it was all wonderful! I LOVE grilling season and David is getting soooo much better at it!! Tomorrow is Freyjas 5yr booster and check up appt, daddy is taking her. Jax and I will finish laundry and start packing while they're gone. 4 days til Utah, 10 days til concert!!!

Day 154

Managed to do all of our first of the month shopping today. David took BOTH kids swimming and didn't drown either one! By the time we come home from Utah my tattoo will be healed enough to swim again. Tomorrow is laundry day and I need to go to Sears for a fridge filter. Here's hoping for a better night with Jax, last night he required two of his feet and a hand touching me all night. 5 days til Utah, 11 days til concert!!

Day 153

Grocery day with Gran! The kids fell asleep as soon as we left her house and slept all the way home! I had hoped to at least buy milk today but since they didn't wake up til I turned off the car in the garage, I didn't bother with my shopping today. We played outside while daddy finished working then went and picked out a new printer from Best Buy, paid a whole $2.05 for it since we received a $50 credit for our old printer and used our rewards points to pay for it. Then we headed into the mall to go to let Freyja bounce. No since did she start then Jax was pulling off his shoes begging to go next so we got him a ticket for a short bounce (3min), he climbed right up, assumed the position, held on to his chords and bounced like a little pro! I wouldn't say he loved it but he definitely enjoyed it!! I can tell going to the mall just got A LOT more expensive!!
