Day 121

You'd think it was St Pattis day with my lil tadpoles in their green tub! Fan is up, they fixed light switch in the garage, we still have a few holes in the wall that require their dry wall guy to come out but for the most part my house is back to normal! I mopped again today but our feet are still black so I guess I will be mopping again tomorrow! Freyja has a drs appt in the morning for some medicine to make her brave for the dentist on Thursday. I wonder if the dr will give me some too??

Day 120

Nothing sweeter than the sound of silence at the end of the day! I promised Freyja this morning if she would play with Jax and keep him out from under my feet while I mopped and did some laundry we'd play outside and ride her bike tonight. Sure enough my lil beauty came through for me even when I baby gated them both in Jaxs room and he started to cry, she cheered him up and got his mind off the gate and let me clean the den! We played outside til almost 7, had a late dinner, quick bath and then story time. Then my beauty conked out with very little convincing, and little buddy was out after only a few minutes nursing. Too bad this cool weather will go away soon, it's been PERFECT lately to go out and have time to play and not melt doing it! Tomorrow is our last electrician day, Jax and I need to find some way to entertain ourselves for a few hours so we're gonna check out a new eatery in town called Popcorn king, they have over 50 different flavors of popcorn!! Then back to the old grindstone of cleaning the rest of the house once the ceiling fan is installed!

Day 119

Had an early morning birthday party today at the park. David and I took turns chasing Jax while Freyja played with EVERYONE there...we have a VERY social lil butterfly! After the party we went to Chik Fil A for lunch then to Opa and Granmamas for icecream. David and Opa went to Lowes for something for Opa and David came home with our new ceiling fan for te living room! It's a gorgeous "leaf" blade design in dark wood. It will go perfectly in the living room! Then we came home and watched a cartoon with Freyja while Jax napped. After he woke up, I took the kids outside while daddy made dinner (heated up leftovers) and then we set up the card table outside and had spaghetti and meatballs as a picnic dinner. We played outside a while longer til the bitey bugs started coming out. It's been a fun day! Daddy and I still have sinus crap but at least it's not as Ana's as it's been! Tomorrow we clean and reclaim our house!

Day 118

Halleleuigha the week is over!!! In celebration, Jax and I went to the park this morning and chased squirrels and ran around the baseball field. The electricians are "done" but will be back Monday to install a ceiling fan/light in the living room and fix a couple of loose ends. I stripped our bed and cleaned it, tomorrow I'll do Freyjas and Jaxons. Tomorrow is Sarinas birthday so we're meeting them at the park for a party. I cleaned up the garage tonight while Freyja played with Lamar, both cars are in the garage again! Trust me, if you saw the mess it was this morning, you'd understand my enthusiasm over this achievement tonight! I thought for sure dad would have to come out and redo the garage again! Time to snug down in my clean bed with my new pillow and nose pin doused in lovely tea tree oil (the ONLY way I can breathe right now) and catch some zzzzz!!!

Day 117

The kids rooms are complete! Only the office and garage are left!! We might live through this after all!! We played outside with the next door neighbor tonight. He got a new bike over the weekend so the kids were finally getting to ride together. It's amazing they are both 4 and there's that big of a difference in size between them. Jax rode his four wheeler around the culdesac with them then we played with the bubbles for a while. Will be happy to get back to normal next week!!

Day 116

I'm running out of things to do with the kids to keep them out of the house! Today we took an adventure into Granmamas and Opas BACK backyard. Tomorrow they are working on the back three rooms, then Friday the garage...tomorrow I'm going on a a shopping spree at Target for a new mop, light bulbs and more Clorox wipes!!! Not to mention hitting herbal remedy store for a sinus tincture!

Day 115

Well...we successfully made it thru day two of the rewiring! Tomorrow they are doing the master bedroom and possibly Jaxs room. Freyja made it thru her dentist appointment like a champ! However she does have a cavity that needs to be filled. May 2nd is parent orientation for Kindergarten! It's hard to believe its time to deal with that already! I need to go tomorrow and collect all the necessary paperwork...ooooooo so fun! Jaxs eyes are looking better today but he's still oozing snot from just about every oralfice (sp???). Time to knock the youngens out for the night!

Day 114

Oh the mess three men can make when changing out aluminum to copper wiring! It took roughly 2.5hours to clean up my kitchen, dining room and living room! I dread them coming back to do the den and master bedroom tomorrow...I'm glad I've been decluttering lately but there will still be mass destruction tomorrow! Tonight's pic is our version of Jack Sprat....Jax sprat could eat no icecream, his sister could eat no cone, together they devoured it whole! Freyja wanted her icecream in a cone so I split a small cup between her and Jax, she ate it out of the cone then gave Jax the cone while she licked the bowl clean and he devoured every bite of the cone! They share quite nicely...most of the time :-)

Day 113

There's nothing I hate more than that constant body chill and ache you get with sinus infections or colds! It's been a miserable weekend for me with this constant yuck and poor Jax is just as miserable! We rode bikes til Jax tired of the front yard so we moved to the backyard where Freyja completely forgot how to listen and landed us inside for while. Mom vh called and had us over for lunch, country fried steak and gravy...my favorite!!! Today's pic shows my big boy turned around in his carseat finally! He's still a bit wierded out by it, he held on to both sides of the seat the entire time we drove to Opa and Granmamas (of course with David driving I hold on for dear life too). Jax took a nice long nap when we came home then played in the backyard for about hour before shower time. Since I work in the morning we all took showers in my shower together. The electricians start rewiring the house tomorrow...should be in for an interesting week!!

Day 112

A day of indulgence! It's rained pretty much all day so we've stayed inside ad played games, took a looooooong purple bath, picked up pizza, bought bacon and facon and indulged in a meaty treat. Then Freyja and I closed the evening with a puzzle, story and a snuggle. Hoping for some sun tomorrow so we can ride bikes, make mud pies and see what other outdoor mischief we can get into. Now to take my lil non breather off to bed and home for a decent nights rest!

Day 111

My Bugg is now the proud owner of a new 18in bike!! She's outgrown her old bike so today she and I went and picked out her new wheels. We spent nearly two hours tonight riding around the culdesac, needless to say I had a tired Bugg tonight and I'm a tired mama! Next step...learn to ride without training wheels!!

Day 110

Lil man has a new trike for the backyard, it's just a lil one but it's something for his to ride on while Freyjas on her big wheeler. Plus free never hurts! Bugg had a great day at school, she seems to be back on track again from whatever threw her off.. Still my lil drama queen but at least she's not sobbing every two seconds! Jax and I went to the bookstore this morning and played trains again. He loves to go up and be treated to his chocolate milk and play with "his" trains! TGIF tomorrow!!!

Day 109

It's been a productive day! Jax and I took the car in for an oil change, went to the herb store for some sinus relief stuff, dropped off paperwork at Freyjas drs office so that can get her records for kindergarten registration and then did some camera part shopping for me. Freyja had a better school day but she did come home and nap which is odd for her. Today's pic shows how my bed looked this morning, Jax woke up at 430 to nurse, then Freyja came to our bed at 5, Jax woke at 6 and I gave up and took my shower and came out to find them all passed out again! Summer and no scheduled wake up time can't come soon enough for this tired mama!!

Day 108

Another fun day of laundry! Am finally caught up after all that "sick" fun we've had lately. Took the kids to Chik Filet after picking up Freyja from school. They played hard and had fun, Jax was so revved up he bit me on the way back out to the car. We played with bubbles for a long time this afternoon and played on the swing. Then Freyja took her shower but didnt want a bath but Jax did so it was his first solo bath. Tomorrow I'm taking him to the herb shop and see if they can recommend something natural for babies with allergies. I don't want to put him o.n prescription antihistamines unless it's last ditch so I'm hoping they can recommend something to ease this poor kids sneezing and snottiness. Hopefully Freyja will have a better day tomorrow, the last two mornings ms Carolyn has had to peal her off of me so I can leave. I can't wait til schools out just so we can all sleep and catch up on rest!!

Day 107

Was a "Gran" day! After a night of not much sleep because of a cranky lil boy it was hard to motivate ourselves out of the house this morning. Jax and I took Gran grocery shopping then came back and picked up Freyja from school, then took Gran to the dr and then finished errands. Freyja and I baked Grandaddy his birthday cake last night and took it to him today with his card and picture Freyja made. After coming home we chased bubbles outside for a bit then came in to prep for bath time. Jax whimpered to be picked up and the moment I did he puked all over me, him and the den tile floor. It must've just been a fluke because he's fine and playing now. Had to scrub the floor and hose us all down. Luckily David didn't go to shook tonight so he was here to help out. Hopefully it's out of everyone's system now because it's been a gross two weeks!!

Day 106

What a gorgeous day! I wish we could've been on the beach!! Instead I did five loads of laundry, cooked for us and friends, David mowed the yard, Freyja and I baked, we all played bubbles in a freshly mowed backyard, and then Freyja and I made Grandaddy a picture for his birthday before bed. Tomorrow begins the insanity of the house rewiring!!!

Day 105

It's been an enlightening day! Obviously it was zootography day, I finally grasped the concept of a couple of different settings on my camera that should greatly improve my picture taking techniques! The animals were wonderful! Hard to say if I liked the porcupines or otters better. After leaving the zoo I went home and picked up the family so we could go to a "print a thon", a local list and exploited children organization was having a finger printing drive today to raise awareness and register more children in the national database. The kids really didn't understand what was going on but they loved the free candy, petting puppies, riding trains and having their face painted (just Freyja). We received lots of good information and the kids are now registered in the national database incase they ever go missing. We went to Opa and Granmamas for dinner, Freyja and Granmama played paper dolls for a while then we came home and I put zoo pix online. I have then on my iPad now so I can go through and edit an clean them up. It's been a wonderfully tiring day, hopefully bedtime will come quickly and painlessly!

Day 104

Set up college bookstore work schedule, shopped at the mall and bought Freyja two cute outfits, played trains at BNN, picked up Freyja, went to Opas, went to the park, made graduation announcements, played outside, bathed kids, prepped stuff for Zootography class tomorrow, knocked out youngens and now it's bedtime!

Day 103

The things we do for our kids....my biggest phobia? DINOSAURS!! Don't ask...don't know why! What did I do tonight? Took the kids to "Discovery Night" at Chik Filet and let them "meet" a Dino up close and personal (and his handler). And of course this mama could've used something a lot stronger than a milkshake after dealing with that! Jax was in love! He sat on my knee in the grass and never once took his eyes off of him and when he was allowed to get closer he all but ran to hug it! Freyja on the other hand was there for the food, toys and a chance to play! Freyja and I are fully recovered from our night of misery, David is of course a man and nursing his "wound" for all it's worth, I'm sure he'll be fine by the weekend! If not, I'll shoot hit, put him out of my misery and take a road trip to aunt Nita's!

Day 101

Yep that's a pic of my sick Bugg! After playing outside she started complaining of a tummy ache, went inside and as I was making her a grilled cheese poor girl started getting sick. Must say though, I am very proud of her! She's made it to the bathroom every time! Jax is over his thing now just need to fix the Bugg and we can get back on track! No school tomorrow, will keep her home and calm to make sure it was just a bad tummy and not a tummy bug. Fun fun!!

Day 100

I splurged today at Target and bought the kids a HUGE bubble blower and extra bubbles. Jax chanted "bubble" the entire time we were in the store. After we picked up sister Jax had fallen asleep in the car so he and I went straight to bed an napped for a bit. He kept me up most of the night with sinuses and throwing up so a nap was a gift!! Then we went out and Freyja blew bubbles while Jax chased them. Tonight David had class so the kids and I popped popcorn and snugged up for cartoons in the den. Hopefully tonight with be less snot filled and we get some sleep!!

Day 99

Hoppy Easter!!! The kids after having been killed by Gran yesterday woke up by 7am today! The Easter bunny had to make a frantic run to the closet, rip open packages, put together baskets and slip them unnoticed into the dining room where the kids couldn't see them. They loved all their stuff! Then we went out and hunted chicks (chick shaped eggs) then came in and played with the new toys. And freyja and i put together her puzzle before bedime. It's been a great Easter!! Hope you all had a good one too!

Day 98

Child killer! Yes, Gran killed my kids today! Thank you Gran!!! Both have been dead asleep since the car ride to take Gran home. I'll be up at the crack of dawn...but what's new?? Had a horrible time at the egg drop today, only bonus was spending time with mom. Im tired and my kids are asleep, gnite to you all!!

Day 97

Good Friday! Yep, it's been a good day! Kids and I enjoyed some playtime outside, Freyja taught Jax to swing on his belly (fly), had lunch at Chik Filet and then made another batch of yummy runzas while the kids played with their new toys from the swap I went to last night. Took the kids to the pet store tonight for an egg hunt, Jax dragged daddy all through the store gasping and ooo'ing over all the pets. I took out a bunny and a ferret for the kids to pet, they both wanted to take them home. We're finishing up the night with a bowl of ice cream and a family cartoon, tomorrow we get to go to another egg hunt, this time with GRAN!!!

Day 96

Bugg and I had a blast on our field trip today. It was my first time on a bus since high school, Freyja held my hand the entire time because she was so pleased to have me there. I feel bad for the other kids because no other parent came...same with the parent party, only two other parents were there that day. I'm thankful to be a stay at home mom so that I can participate in school activities and I'm thankful for that huge Cheshire cat grin Freyja gives when I show up to do things with her. I may want to ring her neck a dozen times a day but in the end shes my precious Bugg and I love her :-)

Day 95

Life will be much...quieter once lil buddy learns rainy days mean we play inside! I made pastry dough yesterday, today I turned it into cheese danish and they were fantastic! Even got Jaxs seal of approval on them! After we picked Freyja up from school we went to Chik Filet for her first of 52 free lunches. The kids played for about an hour then we headed home. After dinner the kids played til they were prunes in a bubble bath. Then poor Jacky fell off the pirate ship and smacked his head on the floor. Got a good size goose egg, had to put an ice pack on him for a while. He'll have a good bruise for a few days. Tomorrow is Freyjas school egg hunt, David is keeping Mr Walking Disaster so I can go with her in the morning then go back for their Easter party. Never a dull moment!!

Day 94

The rain subsided in time for us to have a dry egg hunt this evening! I took Jax to his side, set amongst a pile of eggs, picked one up and dropped it in his basket. Then he took the hint and started gathering his own, 10eggs and a baseball later he was ready to go find sister and daddy. David took Freyja to her side, 3/4 yr olds are allowed to go out in the field alone while parents stand and cheer. Freyja only managed to score 6 or 7 eggs but she managed to find a colored egg that won her a big Easter basket containing candy, a stuffed Chik Filet cow and a box full of coupons for one year of free kids meals. Then we went to see the Easter bunny, Jax sat in hit lap with his prize baseball in hand and kept giving the bunny the evil eye like he was trying to steal his ball or something! Jax conked out in the car and is still gone, daddy is putting Freyja to bed tonight and I am nursing an evil headache and going to turn in early! Tomorrow Freyja will be using her first coupon for a free lunch as soon as I pick her up from school!

Day 93

Just another manic Monday! Jax and I did most of our monthly shopping this morning, including Easter basket stuff shopping. Then we picked up Freyja and picked more dew berries from the backyard. Daddy took us out to dinner at a new burger place downtown. You have a choice of 5 proteins, 7 breads and 20+ toppings and sauces. David had a buffalo burger with portabellos , onions and horseradish mayo. I had an angus burger with alfalfa sprouts, sundried tomatoes, avacado spread and horseradish mayo. The kids shared a strawberry milkshake and grilled cheese sandwich. It's safe to say we all polished our plates and have every intention to go back soon and try a new combo! I painted Freyjas nails tonight to match her rainbow dress that she's wearing tomorrow. Jax had a wonderful night last night and David and I actually slept! Lets hope this tred continues!!

Day 92

Tonight's picture is proof I didn't kill her! Though I may go put a hurtin' on Grandaddy tomorrow! Miss Mess took a dry erase marker to her bedroom walls today and painted her toenails with it. Of all the evil punishments I could think of I picked her least favorite of all, calling Gran and sending her a picture of what she had done. After the phone call she crawled into my lap asking forgiveness. She was forgiven, made to clean her wall (Lysol wipes took off the marker), clean her floor (toys) and go to bed early. She was allowed to play DS in bed but she had to stay in bed without a peep. Jax enjoyed a bowl of ice cream in my lap tonight with minimal mess, dragged me to my bedroom and told me "bed", meaning he was ready for me to put on pjs, daddy and brush teeth, turn off lights and snuggle. My mouth has a huge blister in it back near the end of the top denture, it's been sore the last couple of nights and bled a little when I took my teeth out, tonight it ripped and gushed! And to think 24yrs ago I thought I had it bad when mother nature played the ultimate April fools joke on me...thank goodness today is over!!
